RE: BAN OF ALL FLIGHTS INTO IRELAND FROM GREAT BRITAIN
السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته
Dear students,
We wishes to bring to your attention the announcement by the Government of a ban on all flights arriving into Ireland from Great Britain with effect from midnight on Sunday 20 December 2020.
The situation will be reviewed on Tuesday 22 December. Airlines have been advised of the ban.
Ferry crossings between Ireland and Great Britain will continue in order to keep essential supply chains moving, with essential supply chain workers allowed to travel.
Arrangements are being put in place to facilitate the repatriation of Irish residents on short trips to Great Britain and planning to return in the coming days, as well as international travellers to Ireland who are transiting through Great Britain. Anyone in these categories should contact the GB Emergency Travel Helpline on +353 1 6131700 for more information. We ask that callers please be patient as there is a high volume of calls.
Travel within the island of Ireland, including to Northern Ireland, can continue as normal, subject to domestic public health restrictions as outlined on gov.ie.
Further information and updates on travel restrictions can be found at
